Wisdom Of Breath
Listen to the wisdom of the breath, Pavan Guru
Our deepening Kundalini Yoga retreat is an invitation to journey inward with subtlety, gentleness, and profound presence. Through shared inquiry, guided reflection, questions and answers, and the supportive field of group energy, you will explore the teachings in a way that feels both intimate and expansive.
We begin with the body — the sacred vessel of experience. A regulated nervous system and an anchored physical presence create the foundation from which the breath can reveal its true nature.
In this space, breath becomes more than a physical movement. It becomes a bridge between body and consciousness, a quiet doorway into the unseen. When followed softly and without force, breath transforms into a companion, a teacher, a rhythm that has accompanied you since your first moment of life.
According to the yogic scriptures, breath purifies, balances, awakens, and frees.
It dissolves the noise of the mind and guides us into Shunia, the field of deep inner silence. When the breath is unsteady, the mind wavers; when the breath becomes clear and steady, consciousness settles into its natural depth.
And as we breathe, we remember that all actions arise from the one breath of life.
The same life force moves through each of us—like beads strung on a single thread—revealing how deeply connected, how profoundly unified, we truly are.
During this retreat, you will:
- Open your capacity to receive fully and let go completely, with trust and gratitude.
- Strengthen your inner stability while expanding your sense of connection.
- Release stored memories and emotional imprints that interrupt your natural flow.
- Learn to distinguish prana, the subtle life current, from the physical breath.
- Explore and understand the five Vayus (or 5 winds).
- Experience how different breathing patterns affect the Vayus, the nervous system, and the ten bodies.
We will also practice a powerful kriya designed to harmonize the three gunas, bringing the entire being into equilibrium. Through sound and mantra, you will deepen your sensitivity and connection while remaining grounded in your centre.
Why can’t I concentrate that each breath has a charge, and each charge is a blessing of the Divine and this blessing is continuous as kiss after kiss after kiss after kiss after kiss? When He is hugging me constantly why am I negative? Why do I not have confidence that I am the child of the Divine? Why do I forget Him? When each breath is the message, each breath is the life, each breath can improve me, each breath is a new hope, why then am I forgetting this valuable and beautiful process of life? - Yogi Bhajan
